Accessibility: Ground-level entry, door assistance, large accessible washroom, small 1.5″ step into studios (sprung floors). Reach out with any questions!

In this program we will offer a variety of creative activities within a structured weekly routine. Each activity will be presented with multiple options so that students can explore access supports and cultivate autonomy in their learning experience.

We’ll tune into our senses through movement, music and visual arts practices. Students will be supported in learning how to notice and regulate their sensory experience while we move our bodies to build strength, awareness, and muscle memory.

Classes will include a sensory warmup, core and balance work, action songs and rhymes, dance instruction, creative movement, crafts, stories, and mindfulness practice. Students will be actively supported in transitioning from one activity to the next.

Caregivers are welcome in the studio to provide support and we’ll provide a quiet space where students can take breaks from the group activity as needed. Teachers have experience supporting diverse needs and adapting movement and activities for individuals of varying abilities.

Access Notes

The studio is on the ground level and is wheelchair accessible, with these two caveats: the front door does not have a power opener (but it’s glass so we’ll see you and open it) and the studios have a 1.5” step up from the lobby floor (because they are sprung for dancer safety). There is a large accessible washroom with grab bars and an accessible sink. Please reach out if you have questions about accessibility.
